Primero abrimos el módulo que se encuentra en la carpeta modules, lo abrimos en cualquier editor de texto (de preferencia que de el numero de línea), vamos a la sección: function node_configure() {, que está en la linea 767 del archivo, buscamos las líneas 776 a la 779, allí encontraremos las variables numéricas de longitud de caracteres, modificamos las que queramos por ejemplo: " array(0 => t('Unlimited'), 200 => t('200 characters'), " aquí cambiamos el 200 por 50 y así nos aparecerá en la ventana desplegable 50 caracteres en vez de 200 y así sucesivamente, luego si quieres que el valor por defecto sea el que tú eligas debes modificar la línea 776: #default_value' => variable_get('teaser_length', 600),
